ARCHITECTURE

SHARD is an Onsen Bathhouse located on the side of a cliff, right above a lake. Consisting of two large sections and a bridging section in between, the building separates the onsen hot spring areas from the lobby, communal, and locker areas.

Embracing minimalist, East Asian, and brutalist styles in one piece, the building provides a pleasant experience for its clients.

SLANT is a three story house, two of which are living spaces, and the bottom floor being the porch/garage. Covered with a stone frame, the structure stands tall, showing its slanted box held by its geometric pillars and walls.

I was given a mission: pick a space on campus, and design a house of your own taste. This soon became my first pitch at designing a ‘nano house’.

CLIFFHANGER is a complex perched on the side of a large stone cliff that faces the ocean horizon. The building forms a geometric, triangular shape extending over the cliff edge. The complex, which presents large spaces both over and under the ground level, encompasses multiple spaces that can be used for different occasions.
